Thanksgiving Recap

We had a wonderful yet busy Thanksgiving holiday. We started the morning bright and early on Thursday with turkey frying. It took more than an hour for the peanut oil to heat up, so we barely finished frying both turkeys by noon. We headed to Colin's parent's house first and then made our way to my grandparent's house. The weather was so nice Thursday afternoon and all of my dad's family enjoyed playing washers (Texas horseshoes) out in the front yard. It always amazes me how we manage to fit 30 or more people in a tiny 3 bedroom and one bath house during holiday gatherings. Friday, my mom, Addison and I braved the holiday shopping madness in Jackson for a few hours. We didn't go until after lunch though...we weren't crazy enough to get up at the crack of dawn to get trampled by everyone. We got our tree up this weekend and will start decorating the outside of the house this week. Colin is playing the Grinch in the Christmas program at church, so he has been busy preparing for that. I've posted a few pics from this weekend. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
