Nasty Ole Stomach Bug

Colin and I have been in the trenches of parenthood the past couple of days. Addison caught her first stomach virus from her cousin on Saturday and she projectile vomited her entire bottle Sunday night. We started her on Pedialyte and followed the nurse's instructions all day Monday. By today, she was starting to look puny and was still having lots of watery diarrhea. The doctor told me to go ahead and bring her in and they agreed that she looked a little dehydrated. They had to take blood from her arms and test her levels for fluid loss to decide if she needed to be hospitalized. Luckily, her levels came back normal, so we got to come home just a little while ago. We are supposed to continue getting fluids down her and play things by ear. I am hoping she is on the road to recovery as it has been a rough couple of days for all of us.
