4th of July Weekend

A slip slidin' good time
Choo-choo train
One of the many boats in the parade at Eagle Lake
Diva Katie who must have been a cabaret singer in a previous life. What's better than a karaoke system out on the pier for entertainment?
Ben taking a turn..."Mama tried.."
Deedle bug
"This lifejacket suit does nothing for my figure!"
Addie and her bud.
Monkey see, monkey do.
Little Conerly, Little Grey....I think my mom has a picture that probably looks a lot like this from many years ago. Addie before her date with daddy.

We had a fabulous 4th of July weekend. It all started off with the birth of baby Alyssa and a cookout at India and Buddy Wooten's house on Friday where the kids enjoyed a homemade slip and slide. Saturday, Addison, Colin and I headed to Firefly Hill at Eagle Lake to join the Grey's for a boat parade, pig roast and wonderful fireworks show. We got the lake a little after 11 and left at 10 p.m. Addison was good and worn out and fell asleep a few miles down the road, which is always a sign of a fun day. She asked this morning if we could back to Katie's house. Thanks, Kate! Love ya! While I went and picked up Landry from Nana and Papa's, Addison went on a date with her daddy to a matinee at the movies to see Ice Age. This was her first trip to the movies, so she was very excited. Colin said when they sat down with her popcorn, she looked around the theatre and looked at him and said, "Daddy, this is wonderful." How sweet! What a great weekend! Can't believe it's already over!
