Breakfast with Santa
This week has been jam packed with activities to include Wednesday's Breakfast with Santa for Addison's class at McDonald's and today's preschool Christmas program at First Pres for both Addison and Landry. It was quite entertaining to say the least. Landry decided to take the mic in the middle of his class' debut and cracked everyone up as he pretended to be a star performer. Despite how busy things have been, the kids have really enjoyed getting into the Christmas spirit. Not to mention our elf, Pickles, has been bringing treats occasionally, so both Addison and Landry rush each morning to find Pickles. I know that Landry is too young to understand, but I've really tried to talk to Addison the past few weeks about how blessed we are and how some kids won't be getting many presents for Christmas for reasons like lost jobs, etc. It is hard to make a three-year-old realize that the world doesn't revolve around her, but I'm trying. So, today, we dropped a box full of presents off at the Salvation Army for them to use for any of the angels that weren't adopted this year. Let me just say it warmed my heart to hear Addison tell the man she was bringing them to put them under the tree for those kids who don't have presents because that's "being kind." Maybe all my talking/explaining about sharing and how it's better to give than to receive is sinking in just a little...

Your Christmas Card was beautiful! Remember how I fell in love with your camera years ago? I finally got a Nikon D40. What was yours? It takes amazing pictures! Sure that has nothing to do with having a great eye, huh?
