Landry's favorite thing was to play in the bar stools.

We just got back from Gulf Shores. We had the best time that you can possibly have with two small children and their nap schedules and unpredictable weather. My only complaint was that we weren't there long enough..as always. The kids had a blast and that is truly all that matters. The look on Addison's face as we set all of her presents up on the beach for her birthday party was worth it all. Thursday night, we got settled in at the condo, cooked fajitas and tacos for dinner and then the kids enjoyed crabbing on the beach at dark. Friday, we got in some beach and pool time after a quick morning rain shower and went upstairs for naps as an afternoon storm blew in. We ordered pizza, picked up chocolate devotion ice cream cupcakes from Coldstone Creamery (absolutely delish), and made rain plans for Addison's birthday...but it cleared up just in time for us to haul everything across the sand for a birthday bash at sunset. She was tickled pink! Saturday, we squeezed in as much fun in the sand and sun as we could before heading to Cosmo's for dinner. Very nice place, but we waited 45 minutes on the deck to get a table and then had to wait another hour to get our food. My children were very cranky and tired, so Colin and my MIL left with them. Next time, we'll stick to cooking at the condo or we'll just get take-out. After stopping for a very quick trip at the outlet mall and Watermelon Patch shoes on the way home, we made it back late yesterday evening tired and ready to unpack and hit the sack. I'm seriously thinking that Thanksgiving at the beach sounds like a fabulous idea! :)

That looks like an awesome trip! If I can EVER talk Matt into going to the beach, I'll have to get some details (we're not beach regulars)...matt thinks its too much of a hassle. But i think its well worth it. Great pics!

Glad it was a blast. There is never a bad time to go to the beach. The pictures are adorable. We did dinner in the cono alot and just went of after dinner to have fun with the kids in the village. It is alot more relaxing and a lot cheaper.

such fun! sarah has that same dress that addison is wearing in the bright colors and I LOVE it! Such a FUN party, will have to keep that in mind, although my babies both have winter bdays and that would take a lot of the fun out of the beach!
