She Works Hard for Her Money..

Addison earned her keep today trying to help Papa shovel dirt on the lot where my parent's new house is going to go. Truth be told, she had a blast getting dirty and shoveling dirt into her little red bucket. My mom and dad moved out on their land--which they call Rebel Yell--summer before last in hopes of building a house they could retire in. A couple of weeks ago, my dad received his building permit and has now started working the footings in preparation for the slab. My dad is planning to do a lot of the initial legwork and construction himself, so Colin offered to put in a little sweat equity. Colin has had the fever to build a house lately, so he's getting to experience this as a trial run. I'm sure he'll change his mind after much longer. Here are a few pics of Addison "helping."
